Retail cost of the Product

To the sales department, could you please outline a realistic price that we will sell the wallet for to allow finance to prepare the budget.

we need to know what the costs are that are involved with manufacturing and packaging the product.

aren't you meant to find breakeven point first after we determine the cost of making the wallet?

I'm headed into a place on Monday morning, so I should have a final manufacturing price for everyone by then. Until I do that I think we'll have to stick with the estimate of $7 I will also probably getting the materials on Monday.

you have to determine product cost per wallet first - includes all costs that leads up to the sale of the product (raw materials, transport, insurance, etc)

then you have to work up mark up price for profit, taking into account competition, market audience.

then you have your final price.
